♥ : 北京 day THREE.
Sunday, June 12, 2011

Hello dearest, YOU. (:

Before I start my post, I would like to take this opportunity to wish Peng Sin..

HAPPY 16TH BIRTHDAY!
May your wishes come true. Stay cute always okay! :D

I've been very hardworking blogging recently, right? HAHA.
Just want to finish blogging about my Bei Jing trip before midterm comes.
Midterm will start from next Saturday onwards, till the following Tuesday. Nuuuuuu! :(
At least, thank God, its only for 3 days. Not as torturing as SPM last year. HAHAHA :P

Okay readers! Ready for my Bei Jing day THREE post? ;)
All we did on day one & day two were mostly side seeing and walkinggggggg. -.-
Day three and also the following days were DIFFERENT. Why? Because there was SHOPPING in our itinerary!
Our tour started at 8.30am on day three instead of 8am. 30 minutes sleeping time more! :P

First station - Pearl factory.
I got to admit, I've learnt alot there. :)

A picture before we started our long day

Can you see the number of PEARLS just in ONE oyster?

Pearls from oysters less than 10 years old are used to make Pearl Cream

Now these are pearls from the OLD oysters, big and round :D

After visiting the pearl factory, we went to another palace.
We went to so many palace that I kinda forgotten which palace belongs to which emperor. -.-
But I remember this one! Because this palace belongs to the one & only FEMALE emperor.
This lady's husband (ex-emperor) died in an accident and left her with her young son behind.
And because her son was too young to rule at that time, she was the one who ruled China.
She became so powerful that she killed her son when he was 14 so that she could continue to rule the country.
So there we were, visiting her HUGE palace.

We had to use this dragon boat to cross a river to her palace.

My aunt

I love Jason's youtube shirt. Cute :D

;)

- After arriving

Just a random shot ;)

I hate the sunshine! My eyes could hardly even open, it was too glaring. :(
Anyways, still love this picture

Another panaroma shot ;)

Now this is only one part of her palace. SO HUGE that 20 people could get lost at one time. :/

Painting 100% by man.

Although the sun was always shining, but we never sweat at all, despite all the walking.
Its because Bei Jing is not as humid as Malaysia. LOVE

Left : Mine. Right : Jean's.
Does my shoe look familiar? ;) Return to my "Bei Jing day ONE" post to understand what I'm saying. :P

What comes after that? Hmm.. FOOD - LUNCH. :D
NOM NOM NOM

Silly brother HAHA!

Aheeem. Sorry for this picture. :/

Sweet sweet ORANGE

I felt so sleepy after my stomach was satisfied, FULL! :/
When we hopped onto the bus, our tour guide said "Its finally shopping time, after 2 days of walking".
ZOMGZOMG, my eyelids flew wide open when I heard the word SHOPPING
HEHEHE, I was then jumping around. SO EXCITEDDD. :D

The street. Very few people but lots of nice food and cute stuff :D

Eating scorpions again :/

They said its YUMMY. Had it again and again. :/

Ice cream + Chocolate syrup + Fried flour.
HEAVEN ON EARTH

I tried lots of food there and also bought a Hello Kitty tee. :)
After shopping, we stopped by China's well known silk factory.
Hmm.. Not my first time visiting a silk factory so I wasn't really fascinated. :/

Unhatched cocoons of silkworms.

After removing the silkworms from their cocoons.

The cocoons were dipped into warm water and STRETCHED.

TADA! There you go, quality SILK is produced. ;)

The silk blankets were so soft that I desperately wanted to climb onto the table to lie on them. :x

Before leaving the factory. Teehee :D

Then we went for a Shao Lin Monk show in the evening.
Only one word could describe the show - AMAZING!

It was a one hour 30 mins show. After the show ended, we went to walk walk again at another street.
This street does not sell cheap stuff. Everything is ORIGINAL.
This street is called..

前门大街

Look what we found! STARBUCKS

McD. Their pork burger is YUM YUM. :P

A very busy street.
OH, can you see Haagen Dazs sign up there?! Come on people, spot it!

Haagen Dazs rum and raisin
Had not tasted Haagen Dazs for ages! YUUUUUUUM P:

We love Haagen Dazs!!
